How can the New York Times use a documented anti-semitic, misogynistic cyberbully as a credible source? Is this in line with their journalist values?
Kakwenza Rukirabashaija posted my United States passport and phone number on X. He named me, called me a criminal and a conman, and told people to “Show Me Some Love” . I am a naturalized US citizen. As the death threats followed he and his fellow supporters of the Ugandan liberal political party “The People’s Front for Freedom” (PFF / @PFFUganda), were and still are, actively trying to locate my family and myself…
I understand that such thinpgs are a crime in Germany, where Kakwenza Rukirabashaija is resident, and also in most other countries, including Uganda.
Kakwenza Rukirabashaija’s associate, Winnie Byanyima, The Executive Director of UNAIDS, publicly accused me of being a mercenary paid $3 million to frame her husband. Winnie Byanyima warned me on her official United Nations X account, that Uganda’s “human rights and pro-democracy movement” was ready for me… Kakwenza amplified the attacks. If they have targeted me this way, who else have they been bullying?

Their connection is the Ugandan liberal political party, “The People’s Front for Freedom” (PFF / @PFFUganda), which is headed by Winnie Byanyima’s husband.
Kakwenza Rukirabashaija faces multiple public accusations of sexual assault and exploitation. His former partner Anne Whitehead has accused him of sexual exploitation, manipulation, emotional abuse, and abandoning women he impregnated. Other women have made similar claims. He denies them and calls the women liars. No convictions have been reported, but the accusations are public.
Kakwenza Rukirabashaija claims to be a lawyer. He is not a lawyer. There is no public proof he finished law school in Uganda or passed any bar exam anywhere. The LLB he claims has never been confirmed by the university in Uganda. There is no proof of a practising certificate issued by any law council or registrar. The only verified degree is an LLM from Europa-Universitat Viadrina in Germany from around October 2024. That does not give him the right to practise law in Germany. But he still calls himself a lawyer while resident in Germany. Does he earn his living by being a lawyer in Germany? Isn’t that illegal under the German regulations for practicing law set by the Bundesrechtsanwaltskammer (BRAK)?
On 8 October 2026 the New York Times published an article titled, “The Authoritarian Future Is Already Here” by Megan K. Stack. The piece quoted Kakwenza Rukirabashaija’s claims of torture and presented him as a Ugandan author. Ugandan military sources denied any of the alleged encounters happened, and called all accusations absurd.
The New York Times platformed a man who wants me killed, doxxed me, made public my US passport and phone number. This man, Kakwenza Rukirabashaija, is a anti-semitic, misogynistic cyberbully who faces public sexual-assault accusations, and who claims to be a lawyer but, has no verified licence to practise law. That is the record.
The reason Kakwenza Rukirabashaija, Winnie Byanyima and their People’s Front for Freedom party members want to “Show Me Some Love” and try to intimidate me, is because I am the main witness in a treason trial in Uganda. Their attempts at intimidation have not worked BTW… Their threats have just exposed they complete arrogance, hypocrisy and disregard for the rule of law.
