Even though the former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe had multiple security personnel with him he was still assassinated at close quarters. From viewing the video of the attack the attacker missed Shinzo Abe with the first shot from his improvised shotgun and managed to hit him with the second shot. Shinzo Abe security personnel in their black suits and white shirts I am sure looked the part of being “bodyguards” and could stand around posing in their “Executive Protection” stances but what actual good were they? They were purely reactionary and not proactive… You can’t wait to be attacked to react to an attack, as you won’t have the time to react… This is a fact that many supposed protection experts don’t understand…
Again this high-profile men-in-black protection style of security may look cool but it provides little protection… Would it not have made more sense to employ at least two of his security team to provide protective surveillance in conjunction with the men-in-black?
The protective surveillance personnel would provide in-depth protection, and if doing their job properly, would be observing peoples body language and hopefully being able to spot, and at least shout a warning, if they seen someone pulling out an improvised shotgun before their client got blasted…
The more I deal with government security personnel the more I see how unmotivated and poorly trained they are, they can talk a good fight, but for them it seems it’s all about having a comfy job, a regular pay check and collecting a pension…
