At the time of writing this article, Sept 2025, Europe is experiencing a wave of terrorist related attacks, many of which are being played down by the media and the motives for the attacks are being suppressed. What are the reasons for so many Churches catching on fire in the last few years?
Also, how about the Christian preacher that was brutally murdered on livestream in France in the last few days, did you hear about it? Ashur Sarnaya, an Assyrian Christian man, who was disabled, wheelchair-bound was live streaming in Lyon on social media when he was stabbed to death by 3 Muslim extremists chanting ‘allahu akbar’. Sarnaya had fled to France after being persecuted by ISIS in Iraq.
Whether the perpetrators of these crimes are trained terrorists or those with mental illness problems using the banners of Islamic extremism or nationalism for their 15 minutes of fame makes no difference.
Sadly, I think for the near future with the imminent collapse of Zelensky’s Ukrainian regime, combined with the masses of undocumented illegal immigrants spread across Europe we can expect a lot more terrorist incidents and an upsurge in violent crime.
I believe the right to self-defense is a basic human right, not a privilege. The fact that the vast majority of European countries have extremely restrictive laws for non-lethal self-defense weapons and firearms and also very restrictive use of force laws is only benefiting the terrorists and criminals.
Look at the situation in the United Kingdom where there is blatantly a two tier policing and judicial system. Pedophiles and rapists are being spared prison sentences while their victims are being belittled. As knife gangs freely roam in British cities the police are more concerned about policing social media for offensive posts.
For anyone with any common sense and values, what is happening in the United Kingdom at this time is complete lunacy. The British establishment is prioritizing the rights of illegal immigrants, pedophiles and violent criminals over the rights of the law abiding, and tax paying British citizens.
I am British, but left the country full time in 2001, and have lived in various countries over the years, including 18 years in the United States. I am an ex-British Infantry soldier and owned handguns in Britain before they were banned in 1997. I have also been organizing firearms training courses in Europe for over 28 years. While in the US I owned and carried handguns from when I was legally able to do so, ran a multitude of firearms training courses, and owned licensed armed security and investigation companies. So, I understand gun culture and the gun business on both sides of the pond…
Even though legally owning firearms is highly restricted in Europe, illegal firearms are not that hard to get hold of if you really want them. Firearms are trafficked into Europe from war zones in the Middle East, North Africa etc. etc. If masses of illegal immigrants can pour into Europe unchecked, what’s stopping them from bringing weapons with them? Now with the war in Ukraine on its last legs where will all the weapons go when final time is called? Weapons from Ukraine have already been turning up in the hands of criminals in Europe and other questionable people and groups internationally.
To be honest, I am very surprised there have not been more organized terrorist incidents than there have already been. Maybe the terrorists are living too comfortably in Europe thanks to social security and benefit payments, and have put their terrorist campaigns on hold, at least for the moment.
While the terrorists are living easy, many criminal gangs are preparing for war. Organized crime in Europe has always been low-key but now in many countries many of the new criminal gangs are seeking to copy the glamorized behavior of the Latin American gangbanngers and Narcos.
Will Narco wars be coming to Europe? Well, social unrest and severe economic problems, such as those developing in many European countries tend to leave voids that can be filled by opportunist criminal groups. Is European law enforcement and their woke legal systems ready to deal with Narco type wars, definitely not… So, who will protect the people when the cops can’t even protect themselves?
Arming Europe for Self-Defense
Anyone assessing the real security situation in Europe at the moment will quickly come to the conclusion that more terrorist attacks are imminent and organized crime is going to skyrocket. So, shouldn’t law abiding citizens have the right and ability to defend themselves?
I am sure the front line European police and security forces are doing everything they possibly can to prevent, arrest and when required kill the terrorists and violent criminals, but in many places their hands are tied by bureaucracy and they can’t be everywhere. I had many people attend my firearms classes in the US who had been advised by the police to buy and learn how to use a firearm for self-defense. These people were usually those who had issues with domestic violence or business owners who had been targeted, and the cops had honestly told them that if they had a problem and were able to summon the police, it would take the responding cops time to get to them, time in which they could be beaten, raped or killed.
Your immediate well-being and self-defense is down to you, the cops will come later, after you or someone else calls them. The safe and high-trust societies of Europe are rapidly changing, so shouldn’t laws on self-defense and use of force for the protection of the country’s law abiding and tax paying citizens change also.
The official police propaganda in most places is that they are their to protect the general public, that is their job. But, sadly in many places such as London they are failing. I have heard from many people there that the police do not follow up on complaints let alone investigate crimes such as burglary or theft. Women are openly harassed on the streets and the incidents of rape and sexual assault on males and females have increased well over 200% in some cities.
In the year ending March 2014, police in England and Wales recorded 25,959 rape offenses. In the year ending March 2024, the number of recorded rapes was 71,227. This represents an increase of 174% over the decade. Many police forces in UK cities are now not releasing clear crime statistics as they are unfavorable for them.
So, shouldn’t the 71,227 people reported raped in the United Kingdom alone in 2024 have been allowed the right to defend themselves? Under UK law they have the right, but how can a young girl realistically defend themselves from multiple males without a weapon?
How can the senior citizens defend themselves against young home invaders with out weapons? How can unarmed citizens defend themselves against armed criminals and terrorists without weapons?
The myth that it’s the police forces job to protect you sounds cool as long as you’re not sat in a Paris restaurant with your family looking down the barrel of a jihadist’s AK-47. In such a case what are you going to do if you can’t reach for your phone to call the cops? Hope someone else has called the cops and you’re not shot, beheaded or blown up before they hopefully come to rescue you?
Common sense says all law abiding citizens should have the right to be armed to protect themselves, their families, and other innocent people. The right to be armed should not just be a privilege for the rich and well connected, as it is in such places like New York City and some European countries. The right to be armed should also not be an excuse for governments to make excessive money off licensing fees and taxes on weapons etc. It should be a basic right of all law abiding citizens.
I don’t see any logical argument for law abiding citizens not to have the right to be professionally trained and armed for self-defense. Sensible rules and regulations can easily be put into place for non-lethal weapon and handgun ownership.
It would not take much for use of force and professional training courses to be organized where those seeking to be armed can be trained to pass the same qualifications as their countries armed police forces do. All of which would create jobs and could be self funding with the implication of sensible licensing fees.
A government, police force or anyone else for that matter that does not consider the safety and self-defense rights of law abiding citizens over the rights of criminals, pedophiles and terrorists are working in league with the criminals, pedophiles and terrorists. The rights and life of one innocent person is worth more than the lives of all criminals, pedophiles and terrorists.
For those that say by arming a population you will just be putting weapons into public circulation and giving criminals access to them, well this is where the police need to do their jobs, and arrest the criminals before they get shot… So, from what I have just wrote, ask yourself, who are the police and self-defense laws in most places actually protecting, you or the criminals? I would say in many cases they are protecting the criminals, pedophiles and terrorists from law abiding people who want to live peaceful lives and protect their families and businesses.
Sadly, common sense is not something that’s in abundance in today’s world, especially with those in government whose incompetence and arrogance has led to the problems the world is facing today.
As Europe’s governments are facing uncertain futures instead of empowering their people they will seek to further control, demasculate and oppress them. Why? Because the European leaders and elites are insecure and distrust the citizens of their countries, that’s why they fear to empower them.
Hopefully, today’s issues will lead to transitions that will result in stronger societies with stronger leaders, where the people will have a much greater say in their countries policies and where they will have the basic human right of self-defense!
