“We have been receiving French aid for 63 years, yet our country has not developed, so cutting it off from us now will not kill us, rather it will motivate us to work and rely on ourselves.” – Ibrahim Traore –
The below video hits the nail on the head and this is just from a Haitian perspective. It’s an open fact that NGOs are rife with corruption and their main interest is profit and personal gain, helping those in need is not their first priority… I first saw this in Haiti before the earthquake where most of the heads of the NGO’s and UN could be found hanging out poolside at the Montana Hotel most of the time… They drove around Port-au-Prince in their SUV’s as necessary but were always back to their hotels in time for evening cocktails. It was obvious their efforts to “help” Haiti were a self-serving joke, but at least the local and Dominican prostitutes took them seriously, as long as they were paying the bills.
Just recently a close associate of mine said he was no longer interested in doing business with NGO’s as they are “Haram”… The fact is most NGO bosses just take the money that is donated to help the poor and needy to line their own pockets, enjoy free travel, attend Champagne fundraisers and portray themselves as being honest and caring people who are saving others… Where in reality they are profiting from others suffering!
It’s also a well denied fact that NGO’s act as the eyes and ears for intelligence agencies etc. For an NGO to work in a terrorist-controlled area, such as Northern Syria or Al-Sabaab controlled areas of Somalia they have to cooperate with recognized terrorist organizations. Providing these people with aid and jobs is providing material support for terrorism. So, why is no one ever charged with these crimes? Well, because they are actually helping intelligence agencies, directly and indirectly… For example, without their knowledge their phones and computers are monitored for movements and communications… Get the picture…
More overtly, they are government fronts. They would not be getting funding from government aid programs unless they were of use to that government, nothing is free in this world! Under the cover of an NGO title, they are free to gather intelligence and funnel cash and aid to those their government sponsor’s favor…
So, these well denied facts about the NGO’s abuses of influence and corruption are becoming mainstream… It’s sad, as I know some very good and ethical people working on the front lines for NGO’s, but they are being betrayed also and put at a grave risk by their sponsors!
