Crazy to think these photos were taken over 35 years ago… Didn’t think back then I would ever live this long….!

Here is a mixture of photos from Northern Ireland, Cyprus, South Georgia and Germany. Personally, looking back, all I can say is it was a good apprenticeship… Good times, bad times, fucking crazy times, very, very good people and also some of the biggest backstabbing, two faced trash I have ever had to tolerate!! But that’s life eh… I am still grinning!!!

Northern Ireland was hard work and a great learning experience, all those I was with in B-coy did their jobs extremely well under the circumstances, apart from one cowardly piece of shit, who we will just call “Pam”!

Cyprus and REECE Platoon… Well, looking back my time with RECCE showed me that someone’s intelligence and abilities are irrelevant in institutions such as the military and corporations. Its all about backstabbing and ass kissing… A lot of time was wasted due to unmotivated and egotistical NCOs, but they ticked the boxes… I learnt a lot in retrospect, on how things as far as leadership and man management, should not be done!

My time in the British Army gave me unique experiences and a good foundation for my future career. I left by PVR after 5 years as I needed challenges and adventure, and not to be stuck in a claustrophobic environment full of angry janitors…
